As reynard music, Michael Watkins:
- organises musical playing events with specialist tutors for amateurs, both one day workshops and residential weekends (see below for current schedule). Events include jazz; rhythm playshop; Catalonian Cobla band and Sardana circle dancing; clarinets; saxophones; big band; wind+strings chamber, light orchestra; advanced concert band and wind quintets
- publishes music for clarinet, saxophone and woodwind ensemble (see "Music for Sale" below). This includes a number of works by both established composer/arrangers such as Paul Harvey, Gordon Lewin and Carey Blyton and newcomers including Roger May, Charles Hine, Carol Taylor, Gordon Carr, Neville Favell, Sue McDowell and Claire Summerbell, as well as Michael's own compositions plus arrangements for large ensemble, such as the transcriptions of Tallis's Spem in Alium, a motet in 40 parts plus continuo, and Gabrielli's Magnificat « 33, realised by Hugh Keyte, for single reed choir and for flute choir.
- directs a clarinet choir (the reynard clarinets) for adult amateurs in the Northampton area, meeting twice a month - new members grade 7+ welcome.
MUSIC FOR SALE
Reynard Music
publishes a variety of music for clarinet quartet, clarinet choir, saxophone ensemble, wind quintet etc. Works include compositions and arrangements by such people as: Russel Denwood, Paul Harvey, Gordon Lewin, Anthony Bailey, Carol Taylor and Charles Hine.
