The Reynard Clarinets were founded by Michael Watkins in December, 1994, starting as a clarinet quartet and then expanding in April, 1996 to a full clarinet choir - which comprises parts for Eb clarinet, 4 normal Bb clarinets (usually with 2 players per part), Eb Alto clarinet, Bb Bass clarinet and Eb Contra-alto clarinet (often used to represent the monster in horror movies!).

Over the years we have won a silver award in the National Concert Band Festival, an historic achievement, being the first time ever a Clarinet Choir had entered the Festival. We were honoured to be invited to play in the Gala Concert of the British Clarinet Choir Convention in Conwy, North Wales. We were placed first in the Wind Ensemble class of the Northampton Festival.

The ensemble has played for Garden Parties, weddings, the Burton Latimer Civic Ball, the Red Cross, on the Bandstands at Rugby and Wellingborough, and for various church and charitable occasions.

On 13 June 2006 we will be playing newly composed pieces for the Northamptonshire Composers' Association concert at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Northampton.
